Hi everyone,
Managed to run for over an hour today - 9.35 km along the beach, through Asbridge' Bay Park and then along Lakeshore! The weather was perfect, running conditions could best be described as "flat" and there were police cars everywhere. As you may know, we had some rather ugly protests this weekend related to the G20 and the Metro Toronto Police did a great job of managing things. I stopped and thanked every officer I came across.
Song of the day, Karn Evil 9, 1st Impression, Part 2 by ELP, you may know it by the tag line "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends..."
Next run is on Tuesday - hills again!

Couple of runs. Some new tunes...
Hi everyone,
Back home from Yellowknife and am keeping up with my runs. Tonight a six km recovery run after a 6 km hill training session last night. The hill was approximately 400 m long and about a 5% grade. Tonight's run had a big kick-off hill, 1 km, raising approximately 40 m, and its closeout was about the same - it was also 29C and humid. Tough.
Updated my iPod Shuffle yesterday and now have a whole new playlist with almost entirely new songs. Tonight's song was Loving the Alien by David Bowie.
Update you again soon!

A little longer than expected...
Hi there
Was supposed to run 4.7 km tonight but it ended up not working out that way. Worked out a route which should have come in around 5 km, here in Yellowknife, but then when I ran it discovered it was actually 6.15 km. OH WELL! Did me no harm whatsoever and I do so love running in Yellowknife.
Song of the run is Fall in Love with me by the talented Iggy Pop.
See you again soon!

Running in beautiful Yellowknife!
Hi Gang
Pulled of 8 1/2 km today here is the jewel of the North! A great run through a nature are and then along some back streets through to near my apartment here. With this run complete, I am actually caught up to the others in my running group. Still a ways to go before I am ready for Chicago but, you know, real progress.
Today's song of the run - Time to Kill by UK.
Talk to you again soon!

Today I ran to Saskatchewan and, boy, are my legs tired...
Hi Gang,
I am on the road again and, as a result, haven't been updating my blog as often as I usually do. I have, however been running and today ran from Alberta to Saskatchewan here in sunny Lloydminster. Nice place to run - absolutely flat!!!
Also managed a training session with Mike on Monday before I left. So it has been a good week!
Song of the run was Breakdown by Allan Parson's Project.
Be brave!

Running Room 10km Clinic #2
Hi there,
My trainer, Mike, was here this morning and we did a complex with barbells which was both evil and twisted. Let's just say that 70 squats with weights were involved...
So, this evening we had the dreaded show lecture at the clinic. I overpronate and wear othodics so, me, shoes are not my problem. Then we did a 4.7 km run with a wicked hill at the 60% point. Wicked.
The song of the run was Highway Star by Deep Purple - and I have had that as the song of the run before. Time to change my iPod Shuffle playlist.
I am off to Sault Ste. Marie tomorrow and will be running on Thursday and Friday from there. I will be working out with Mike again on Saturday.
Update you again soon!
