Kick off with cross training...

Hi everyone

Today I, informally, started training for the next set of races. I began with a short bike ride over to my trainer's place and then some serious upper body work. The immediate goal on the cross training side is to do a chin up - which I have not been able to do since the mid 70's. Now, at 110 kg, this is no small task and today's work consisted of myself stepping off a block and slowing myself in my decent from the bar - 24 times (10, 8, 6 reps) with 20 rep sets of squats in between.

My arms hurt.

Tomorrow is our "pre-clinic" LSD run for the Beach 1/2 Marathon group and I will update you after I get back from the run.
