After running the Ottawa Marathon I am in the middle of a two week running vacation. Currently in St. John's NL, I am avoiding running like the plague - particularly here where hilly does not begin to descibe the topology! I begin teaching the Beaches Running Room 1/2 Marathon Clinic on the 14th of June and, after Ottawa, just want a bit of time off.
That said, I have begun booking races. So far there are four of them in my calendar:
- The Acura Toronto 10 Miler on August 14th
- A Midsummer Night's Run in Toronto (15 km) on August 20th
- The Canadian Army 1/2 Marathon in Ottawa on September 18th - just 5 days after my 52nd birthday
- The Lloyd's Cardiff 1/2 Maraton on October 16th - finally the fatboy gets to run in his hometown
So, with all that in mind. Crosstraining starts this Saturday and I will begin recording my runs again with a 5 km kickoff next Tuesday!
Here is a photo from the Ottawa Marathon - me looking far better than I did at the end!

All the best,
Paul
