14 km in Vancouver

Hi everyone,

Out here on the west coast with the WGG and my oldest son, he is starting at UBC in just a couple of weeks and we are out here to show him the ropes, as it were.

This morning ran around Stanley Park with the goal of a 14 km distance. Made a wrong turn and would up near Granville Island at which point I stopped my watch and hoofed it back to the hotel. So I ran 14 km and walked 3 or 4 afterward.

Great scenery - really like Vancouver when the weather cooperates!

Song of the run - Phasers on Stun by FM.

You may notice that I have removed the Accura Toronto 10 Miler Race from the countdown at the top of the blog. My younger sister, JoLaura, is getting married on that day and I will be needed, it seems, throughout the weekend to assist in preparations. Choice, running or watching a beautiful young woman get married... Hmmm... Had to think about it for all of about 1 second! So I will be running a race one week later. I will get in a 16 km run at some point that weekend to stay up with my running group.

Back in Toronto tomorrow in time for a visit to the Running Room for our usual recovery run after a Yoga exercise on Tuesday. For the record, boys don't do Yoga!

Paul
