Midsummer Night's Run.

Hi everyone,

Completed the 15km Toronto Midsummer Night's Run yesterday - a really great race out on the Leslie Street Spit. There was a great turnout and, although the humidity was a bit high, the weather cooperated. The song of the run was 10 cc's Dreadlock Holiday sung live in Japan. Below is a picture of my medal and I after the run:

It was gratifying to see so many friendly faces from the Beaches Running Room there helping raise some money for Toronto Sick Kids Hospital.

This completes another preparatory race for Cardiff on October 16th. The next prep race is the Ottawa 1/2 Army race on the 18th of September (just 5 days after my 52nd birthday. After Cardiff will be a little bit of downtime followed by the resumption of training with the Chilly 1/2 and both Ottawa and Toronto Marathon's in the spring.

As always, thanks to Barbara, the World's Greatest Geophysicist, for coming out to the race and supporting me in my minorly magnificent obsession. You are the best, Barbara.

This week with our clinic we finish off hills and have a long run of 18 km next weekend. Stay tuned...

Paul
