The 366 runs of my 57th year - Day 110.

Hey everyone

Started today with a bit of a lie in and nice easy breakfast. Then, whilst the girls went skating, I went for my first run of 2016 - a modest 10 km effort to greet the year as is appropriate.

My set target for this year, 2400 km running and 5000 km by bike (which won't start until April or so). I now seem to be back on track for running every day and am, more or less, injury free.

Will try to post to the blog a bit more as the year unfolds.

Onward!

Paul

366 runs of my 57th year - Day 109

Hi everyone,

I have been a bit quite lately but have been running. While I had to go on a reduced schedule for December due to a hip and two foot injuries, I was able to keep my legs moving and am ahead from a basic run count. With 120 runs now under my belt and 109 days in, from the vantage point of runs I am good. My week and month performance this last little while not quite there but I will make that up.

Some other metrics. In 2015 I covered 2208 km, over 266 runs. I expect to put in a one more run today. I ran 3 1/2 marathons, 1 30 km race and 1 5 km race. I ran in 3 countries (Canada, USA and Australia), and at least 12 cities. My longest run was 30 km, my shortest, just a shade under 3 km.

So, tomorrow starts 2016 - goal remains 200km minimum per month, 40 km minimum per week, run every day, 4 races of at least 1/2 marathon duration. I have signed up for my first race, the Chilly 1/2 in Burlington and may run my second 1 week later in Perth Australia if all goes according to some preliminary plans.

So far, with some hiccups, the plan unfolds.

All that being said, what are your plans to "Keep Moving" in 2016? Send me comments, I want to hear from you!!

Onward!

Paul.
